The Baccalaureate Service, as known as the Graduation Thanksgiving Service, is common in Christian universities worldwide. Hong Kong Baptist University treasures this tradition and heritage of Christianity in higher education. Every year, Chaplain’s Office organizes this significant event for all graduands to give thanks and praise to God for His abundant grace throughout their campus life while encouraging graduands to be persistent in keeping their convictions and values in life.
Registration Period: Mar 1 (Fri) 10:00 a.m. - Mar 20 (Wed) 6:00 p.m.
"Baccalaureate Service", also known as the Graduation Thanksgiving Service, is an event organized by the Chaplain’s Office for all graduands. It differs from the graduation Commencement organized by the University.
The purpose of "Baccalaureate Service" is to provide an opportunity to give thanks and praise to God for His abundant grace throughout their campus life while encouraging graduands to be persistent in keeping their convictions and values in life. Therefore, we strongly encourage all graduands to participate.
All graduands from the academic year 2023 to 2024 are welcome to join this event, including higher diploma students, associate degree students, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students (master's and doctoral students).

Please send a message via WhatsApp to 9828-2165 or email chap_event@hkbu.edu.hk to inform us that you are unable to attend. Please also provide your Name and Student ID in the message.
Participants can collect the academic regalia at FSC501, Ho Sin Hang Campus, on March 28, 2024 (Thursday) from 2 to 5 p.m.
Please bring the following items:
If participants are unable to collect the academic regalia in person, please delegate another person to collect it on your behalf and provide with the above items, including a copy of your student card, to facilitate the collection. Please note that alternative collection dates will NOT be arranged.
All participants should arrive at the University Chapel by 2:40 p.m. and be seated as instructed, wearing the complete academic regalia.
"Baccalaureate Service" begins promptly at 3 p.m.
Participants who arrive at or after 3 p.m. will not be allowed to enter the University Chapel and will be considered absent. The deposit will be completely forfeited.
Please return the academic regalia to OEE606 (Recreation Centre) on June 18, 2024 (Tuesday) from 2 to 5 p.m.
The deposit will be fully refunded upon you
If you fail to return the gown on time, NO DEPOSIT will be refunded.
Furthermore, if there are any losses, damages, or stains, the following charges will be deducted from the deposit:
